2003 — 2005
The history of “Stolitsa Nizhny” Group goes back to 2003 when the first European class shopping center “Etazhi” (“Floors”) was opened under the company’s management in Nizhny Novgorod. The new shopping center provides 18,635 sq m to more than 90 stores and services. The largest retailers operating at the center are “L’Etoile”, “Tinkoff”, “Nasyanya”, “Seven” supermarket, “Milo” Group. “Etazhi” shopping center won the top place in the Nizhny Novgorod Architectural Rating for 2002–2003. In 2003 the shopping center was acknowledged as the best public building in Russia and was awarded a gold medal at the 10th World Triennial of Architecture “Interarch-Sofia”. “Etazhi” shopping center became the leader in regional selections at Trade-marks Contest “Zolotnik” and took the 2nd place in “Attractiveness” nomination of the 3rd Russia’s Trade-marks Contest “Zolotnik”. “Etazhi” is a winner of many city and regional awards.
In summer 2005 “Stolitsa Nizhny” Group opened “Respublika” (“Republic”) shopping center on Revolutsii Square in Nizhny Novgorod. It became the biggest and the most contemporary shopping center in the city for the moment. “Respublika” with its 34,000 sq m of floor space attracted the best Russia’s and world’s retailers: “M.Video” consumer electronics store, the store of goods for children “Detskiy Mir”, “Edok” fast food restaurant, “Magnit” food supermarket, as well as “L’Etoile”, “Electra”, “Sportsmen”, “OGGI”, “Zolla”, “O’STIN”, “Vesch!”, “Colin’s”, “Peacocks”, “Svyaznoy”, “Megafon”, “Beeline”.
After “Respublika” was introduced, the Revolutsii Square turned into a capital city square with a smart and well-organized look. The shopping center became an all-round attendance champion in the city, and was awarded a prize in “Promotion” nomination of Russia’s ICSC Shopping Center Rating in 2005.
2006 — 2010
In 2006 the company opened the first “A” class office center and named it after itself “Stolitsa Nizhny”. The office center is located in a central business area of the city. Its floor space is 23,000 sq m. The main tenants occupying the offices are major banks (“Reiffeisen Bank”, “Moscow Bank for Reconstruction and Development”, “Rosbank”, “Forus Bank”, “RosDorBank”, Sberbank), as well as international, Russia’s and local companies leading in insurance, audit and consulting.
In 2006 “Stolitsa Nizhny” Group opened the first stage of the Nizhny Novgorod region largest shopping and recreation center named “Fantastika”. The second stage was launched in 2007. The floor space of the center total 160,000 sq m. The main retailers operating the first two stages of “Fantastika” are “OBI” DIY home improvement and construction retailer, and “Metro” Group hypermarket “Real”.
In winter 2008 the third stage of “Fantastika” shopping and recreation center was launched opening a “Cinema Park” 8-screens multiplex, a “World Class” fitness club, a food court, 15 restaurants, a bowling, “Crazy Park” children’s entertainment center and a 2-level parking place. The center hosts more than 210 stores in total including leading fashion retailers “Inditex” Group (“Zara”, “Bershka”, “Pull&Bear”, “Stradivarius”, “Oysho”), “Topshop”, “Karen Millen”, “Bata”, “Mexx”, and others.
In 2008 “Stolitsa Nizhny” Group won the regional “Investor’ 2007” contest in “Development” nomination. The same year “Stolitsa Nizhny” Group was awarded a prize instituted by Nizhny Novgorod city Administration in “Commercial Real Estate Development” nomination of the “Investor’ 2008” contest for the investment project “Construction of the third stage of ‘Fantastika’ shopping and recreation center on Rodionova Street”.
“Fantastika” shopping and recreation center was honored with a Commercial Real Estate Federal Prize in “Large Shopping Center” nomination of the CRE Federal Awards 2009. Furthermore, “Stolitsa Nizhny” Group was awarded the first prize in “Retail Real Estate” nomination of FIABCI-Russia contest “Best Development Project in the Russia’s Real Estate Market in 2009”.
In fall 2007 the company initiated construction of “Sedmoye Nebo” residential complex on a river Volga bank in “Mescherskoye Ozero” residential neighborhood. “Sedmoye Nebo” is one of the biggest projects under “Stolitsa Nizhny” Group management. This is a new “city-in-city” type construction with its own public utilities and social infrastructure. The first house of “Sedmoye Nebo” residential complex was put into service in February 2009. The construction of the neighborhood was completed in July 2012. Строительство комплекса завершилось в июле 2012 года. The complex includes 18 seventeenth-floored residential buildings housing in total 2,265 apartments.
2011 — 2014
In September 2011 “Stolitsa Nizhny” Group’s project of “Sedmoye Nebo” residential complex was honored with a Second Class Diploma in the nomination of “Provision of the Development Project with public utilities and social infrastructure” of the Russia’s contest of “Complex Development of Territories” projects.
“Sedmoye Nebo” residential complex includes the region's third largest shopping and recreation center. The construction of the center started in January 2011. The center was opened to the public on the 26th of April 2012, and the official opening ceremony was held on the 27th of July 2012. The total floor area of the shopping and recreation center is 75,000 sq.m. The anchor operators of the center include the leading Russia’s and world retailers such as “Castorama” DIY home improvement and construction hypermarket, food hypermarket “Auchan”, hypermarket of the Europe’s largest fashion retailer “H&M”, home electronics store “M.Video”, the city’s first “Bubble Gum” children’s supermarket, the 10-screen “Cinema Park” multiplex with the city's first IMAX movie theater, the city’s first “FizKult” fitness club with a pool.
“Stolitsa Nizhny” Group won the 4th annual contest “Investment Project of the Year 2009” in “Commercial Real Estate Investment Project of the Year” for the development project “Construction of ‘Castorama’ DIY home improvement and construction hypermarket”. The contest was held by the Government of Nizhny Novgorod Region and patronized by the Governor of Nizhny Novgorod Region.
In 2011 “Etazhi” shopping center, “Respublika” shopping center and “Fantastika” shopping and recreation center were listed in “Russia’s 100 Best Shopping Centers” rating prepared by the Guild of Property Managers and Developers. “Stolitsa Nizhny” Group became a full member of the Guild of Property Managers and Developers, which is the leading community association of property management and development companies in Russia and CIS.
On the 3rd of October 2012 “Stolitsa Nizhny” Group laid the corner-stone of a new large-scale residential neighborhood. “Tsvety” Residential Complex will be constructed in the area of a former “Tsvety” enterprise located in an environmentally safe district of Nizhny Novgorod. The company plans to construct 26 residential buildings of 17 and 19 floors housing almost 4,500 apartments, as well as the necessary public utilities and social infrastructure. The company plans to deliver one apartment building every two months starting from June 2013. The completion of the neighborhood is scheduled on December 2016.
In the 4th quarter of 2012, “Stolitsa Nizhny” Group started construction of the second stage of “Sedmoye Nebo” residential complex. The second phase of construction of this neighborhood will include 10 residential buildings: 6 of 17-floored, 1 of 19-floored , 2 of 23-floored , and one house of varied height - 5-7-9-floored , which will be located along the Volga embankment. The total living area of the new district will amount to 100,000 sq.m. Completion of construction of the residential complex is planned for 2015.
2015 — 2017
In October 15, 2015, “Stolitsa Nizhny” Group opened a new shopping and entertainment center “Zhar-Ptitsa” (“Firebird”), which is located on Sovetskaya Square in Nizhny Novgorod. The total area of the shopping center is 100 000 sq.m. In the space of a modern three-level center on the leased area of over 75,000 sq.m. there are shops of famous clothing brands, shoes and accessories, services, a fitness center with a swimming pool, a multiplex cinema, an entertainment zone and a grocery hypermarket with affordable prices. Shopping and entertainment center “Zhar-Ptitsa” is intended for about 150 retailers. It has created an important infrastructure of the modern consumer and entertainment services, which was not sufficiently developed in this area of the city.
The shopping center performs an important social and economic function: it has created 1,300 jobs. “Stolitsa Nizhny” Group has taken on social responsibility to keep the tradition of market trade that used to exist in this area for many years. The developer is building a modern market hall (6,000 sq.m.), which will be located next to the shopping center, and will be the first in Nizhny Novgorod to offer a unique format, a single trading concept and structure. The new marketplace will be focused on selling agricultural products and goods manufactured by small and medium enterprises in Nizhny Novgorod region.
In 2015, “Stolitsa Nizhny” Group began the construction of modern residential complex “Akvamarin” (“Aquamarine”), which is located on the banks of the Oka River in the Leninsky district of Nizhny Novgorod. The residential complex is close to the main road junctions and highways connecting all parts of Nizhny Novgorod. This is the third project of integrated development by “Stolitsa Nizhny” Group. The company plans to construct 8 residential buildings, four 23-floor and four 25-floor houses, multi-level parking, public buildings, a kindergarten.
The total area of the residential group of a new neighborhood will exceed 82,000 sq.m. with the total number of apartments – 1,700. The construction of a residential complex is to be completed in 2018.
In December 2016, "Stolitsa Nizhny" started construction of a new modern residential business class house "Dom Na Svobode" (House on Freedom Square), located in the city center within the boundaries of Svobody sq., Semashko st., and Gorkogo st. "Dom Na Svobode" is designed in a classical architectural style, in accordance with all modern criteria corresponding to "business class": spacious apartments with a ceiling height of up to 3 meters, terraces, stained glass windows and panoramic views. The project includes its own closed territory formatted as a "yard without cars". At the same time the residents may enjoy a multi-level parking, equipped with all necessary security systems.
In the 1st quarter of 2017, the developer "Stolitsa Nizhny" started construction of a new residential complex "Novaya Kuznechikha" (New Kuznechikha). Located in the Sovetskiy district of Nizhny Novgorod, the residential complex extends the existing neighborhood along Marshala Malinovskogo Street in the Kuznechikha-2 district and is in close proximity to the nature landmarks "Dubrava" and "Shchelokovsky Khutor".
The first stage of the complex will consist of 12 blocks, including 36 houses of different number of storeys. The new neighborhood will have its own social infrastructure: kindergartens, schools, clinics, sports and leisure centers and sports facilities. The first houses are due in Q1 2019.
Among the undeniable advantages of the new neighborhood is the use of the most modern technologies, convenient layout of apartments, comfortable density of construction and affordable prices.
The residential complex "Novaya Kuznechikha" combines the advantages of living near a forest and close to a transport hub.
2018 — 2020
In the second quarter of 2018, “Stolitsa Nizhny” began construction of “Simfonya Nizhnego” (“The Symphony of Nizhny”) Residential Complex - a business class residential complex in the historic part of the city at the intersection of Gorky, Ilyinskaya and Novaya Streets. On June 30, 2020 the house with 10 entrances and 7 to 9 variable floors and total area of more than 36 000 square meters was completed.
The project offered thought-out and most successful planning solutions with summer terraces, stained-glass windows and bay windows. Modern halls decorated according to a special design project, access control system, minimum number of apartments on the floor, underground parking, closed territory and recreation area in the yard emphasize the status of the house.
In 2018, the company finished construction of 13 new buildings. New houses were built in the residential complexes “Tsvety”, “Aquamarine”, “Novaya Kuznechikha” and “Dom na Svobode”.
In the summer of 2020, the developer “Stolitsa Nizhny” continued development of the neighborhood “Tsvety” and started sales of a new residential comfort-class complex - “Tsvety 2” (“Flowers 2”). The developer plans to build 12 houses, a kindergarten, shopping center and indoor parking space. Apartments in the new buildings are ready-made.
The entrance groups designed with premium materials, stained glass and LED lighting, so that the halls of the first floor will always be comfortable and bright. All entrances are on the ground level, so that it would be convenient for residents to bring in a baby carriage or a suitcase.
An important feature of “Tsvety 2” is the already existing social and commercial infrastructure: two kindergartens, a school, a fitness center, a hypermarket, cafes, stores and much more.
In 2020, the company started preparations for the constructing the second stage of “Simfonya Nizhnego” Residential Complex, which will be located along Ilyinskaya and Novaya Streets. The developer is “RegionInvest52” LLC and the Ministry of Urban Development and Agglomeration Development of Nizhny Novgorod Region initiated an open competition for the best architectural concept of the building/ The contest was held from August 12th to October 25th, 2020. One of the winning concepts will be used as the basis for the final architectural project.
In autumn 2020, “Stolitsa Nizhny” began construction of a comfort class residential complex “Liner on Barminskaya” in the historical center of Nizhny Novgorod. It is a five-section residential building of variable height (from 8 to 11 floors) with 177 apartments.
The architecture of the house organically fits into the surrounding buildings: variable number of floors, neutral color scheme and strict geometry of the facade give the quarter integrity and contribute to the creation of a comfortable visual environment. The yard of the house includes modern amenities for adults and children, recreation areas and a cycle track along the nearby street.
