The architectural project of the second stage of the residential complex “Simfoniya Nizhnego” (“Symphony of Nizhny”) within the boundaries of Maksima Gorkogo, Ilyinskaya, Novaya Streets will be based on the design concept created by the studio of Sergey Timofeev, the Nizhny Novgorod architect.
Earlier, the architectural concept of the second stage of the residential complex proposed by LLC “Personal Creative Workshop of the Architect S.A. Timofeev ” won first place in an open competition organized at the initiative of the Ministry for Urban Planning and Agglomeration Development of the Nizhny Novgorod region.
“The winning team's design solution demonstrates a contextual approach and a respectful attitude towards the historical environment of Zapochainye Area. With further refinement and detailing, the project has every chance to become a notable event in the architectural practice of Nizhny Novgorod,” said Marina Rakova, Minister for Urban Planning and Agglomeration Development of Nizhny Novgorod Region.
An open competition for the best architectural concept of the second stage of the residential complex “Simfoniya Nizhnego” was held from October 12 to October 25, 2020. Participants had to propose not only the spatial and volumetric solution of the building, but also the concept of the layout of the entire residential block preserving the existing kindergarten. A total of 28 sketches were submitted for the competition, 11 of which made it to the finals. An independent jury selected the four best concepts.
